Introduction

The Aga Khan University (AKU), established in 1983, is Pakistan’s first private international university dedicated to advancing education, research, and healthcare of international standards. AKU's Institute for Educational Development, Pakistan (AKU-IED) has partnered with the School Education Department (SED), Gilgit-Baltistan, to enhance the quality of education in government schools in the region.

AKU has been contracted to implement the GB Education Fellows (EFs) project, a collaborative initiative supported by LUMS, KIU, and Knowledge Platform. The project aims to recruit over 1,200 education fellows across various districts to support public sector education in mathematics, science, and other key disciplines.


Available Positions

School Education Fellows (Government Schools)
Applications are invited for contract-based Education Fellow positions in the following government schools:

  1. Hunza

    • Total Positions: 4
    • Locations: Shimshal Centre (3), Farmanabad (1)
  2. Ghizer

    • Total Positions: 5
    • Locations: Thurzil Nalla (4), Darmander Nalla (1)

Government Girls Degree College, Chilas (Diamer)

Female candidates domiciled in Chilas are invited to apply for six (6) Education Fellow positions to teach the following subjects:

  • Urdu
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Islamiyat
  • Pakistan Studies
  • Sociology

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and a willingness to work at the college until June 30, 2025.
