How to Register

Candidates may register themselves by visiting the Pakistan Navy website from 03 to 17 November 2024. Note that applications sent directly to the Recruitment Directorate at Naval Headquarters will not be entertained.

Selection Process

Stage Details
Computer-based Test/e-testing
  • Intelligence test
  • Academic test (English, Maths/Physics & General Knowledge)
Preliminary Medical/Interview and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Running: One Mile (1.6 km) in 8 Minutes
  • Push-ups: 15 Repetitions in 2 Minutes
  • Sit-ups: 15 Repetitions in 2 Minutes
  • Chin-ups: 3 Repetitions in 2 Minutes
ISSB Application Forms Issued to candidates who qualify preliminary Medical/Interview and PET
ISSB Test/Interviews Only shortlisted candidates as per merit will be called
Medical Examination Held at authorized CMH/PNS SHIFA for ISSB recommended candidates
Final Selection Done by Naval Headquarters in order of merit

Note: Candidates are advised to get ear waxed and teeth cleaned by a specialist doctor prior to reporting for medical examination.

Prospects

Grant of permanent commission after two years of training and one of the following degrees shall be awarded upon successful completion of basic training:

  • Operation Branch: BS (Maritime Sciences)
  • Marine Engineering Branch: BE (Mechanical)
  • Weapon Engineering Branch: BE (Electrical)
  • Supply Branch: BS (Supply Chain Management)

Note: Subject to aptitude and academic progress, selected officers may be sent abroad for MS and PhD.

Ineligibility

  • Twice rejected by ISSB.
  • Twice screened out by ISSB.
  • Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in ISSB except waiver granted by the competent authority. However, the bar of 120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing in GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection board.
  • Dismissed/Removed/Debarred from Govt Services including Armed Forces.
  • Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense (to be ascertained by the competent military authority).
  • Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB).
  • Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot be requested).
  • Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
  • Withdrawn/discharged/resigned or purchase of commission from any Armed Forces officers Academy/Training institution on any ground.
  • Tempering of academic certificate/forgery/concealment to get undue advantage will render the applicant permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Forces.
