Education Fellows Education Department Through PDCN 1200POSITION

The Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development, Pakistan (AKU-IED) has a longstanding relationship with the Department of School Education (DSE) GB to improve children's access to quality education, enhance education governance, and involve communities in schools in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

The AKU-IED has been contracted by the DSE GB on the GB Education Fellows (EFs) project to improve the quality of education in GB. A consortium comprising LUMS, KIU, and Knowledge Platform, led by AKU, has received a grant from the GB Government to hire and train 1200 Education Fellows in public sector educational institutions in GB.

Requirements

General Education

Preference will be given to candidates with 16-years education in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Computer Science from an HEC-recognized university.

Subject to the need and availability of posts, in certain areas, consideration will be given to candidates with 14 years of education including BSc, BA, and BCS.

Candidates with Intermediate qualification (i.e. 12 years of education) will be only considered for the marginalized/under-served areas in GB.

Special Education

Preference will be given to 2nd class or Grade C Master’s degree/BS (hons) in Special Education, Psychology and Social Work/Sociology from a recognized university, or

Those having a Master’s degree/BS (Hons) (e.g. Urdu, Islamiat, English, Pakistan Studies, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, economic and education) but also having a diploma or a certificate in Special Education will be considered on need-basis.
